Scenes From A New Job
I started my new job in Dubai this week, and in grand back-to-school fashion there is much to be excited about, including…
… a stack of required reading to be perused in my first month:

(Complete with quizzes and all!)
… a travel schedule packed with business trips back to the US:

(Um, does anyone want to hang out with me in Nebraska?!)
… and perhaps MOST excitingly, a desk adorned with meticulously organized office supplies, including a pristine new pack of colored pens:

(Seriously, I squealed with glee when I saw this.)
I also chuckled when I got the printout of my “key strengths” from a personality test I had to take before joining:

“You like to explain, to describe, to write… You feel a need to bring events to life, to energize them, the make them exciting and vivid… You turn events into stories and practice telling them… You hunt for the perfect phrase…”
I think they could have summed this up more concisely by simply saying, “YOU HAVE A BLOG.”
Here we go!
